Description
This classic route will take you by two impressive waterfalls, numerous river crossings, along a stunning cliff-top trail, and up a boulder scramble stream. You’ll get to swim in deep, crystalline pools of the Anzu river, as well as challenge yourself with difficult climbs and slippery rock hopping. An adventure never to forget...
Set out into the forest with one of our guides who will drop you off, alone, to spend a couple hours observing, listening, feeling, reflecting, meditating, or whatever you’re called to do!
With over 35 known caves within walking distance of SKIS, there are extensive spelunking opportunities for everyone from novices to experts. There’s even a cave we rappel into!
On expedition we’ll venture out on multi-day trips to the remote slopes of Llanganates National Park. You’ll learn wilderness navigation and survival skills, field study techniques, and camping hacks - just to name a few.
Want to actually learn the basics and techniques behind the high adventure activities? Before setting out for some rappelling or canyoning, we’ll spend a couple hours in house instructing you how to properly use a harness, select the right type of rope for a given activity, tie important knots, set safety before sending it, perform self rescue in the case of an accident, and more!
Harness up and take a leap of faith, swinging out into the jungle canopy with views of the lower Amazon below you.
When you rappel down jungle cliffs and waterfalls with us you’ll have the opportunity to glimpse rare plant species and incredible views - not to mention the thrill of hanging above the jungle canopy. We have four primary rappels, ranging from beginner (8 meters) to advanced (45 meters).
Canyoning is a thrilling activity in which you rappel down waterfalls, usually into otherwise inaccessible canyons. Learn the basics on a 5 meter waterfall at Sumak, apply your preexisting skills on a 40 meter, straight drop waterfall on-site, or we can take a full day, partnering with another tour operator to adventure to some truly remote canyons!
The area around SKIS has more whitewater rafting to offer than almost anywhere else in Ecuador! With everything between class I and class V, we’ve got you covered!
For the thrill of a lifetime come zip line hundreds of feet above the raging Pastaza river!
If you have experience extreme kayaking we can lead you to some of the most thrilling whitewater in the world, from leisurely class three to class V+ first descents (a solid combat roll is required for this activity).
